MANSURA Avoyelles Parish Sheriff's Lt. Patrick J. Jeansonne died Tuesday from injuries suffered in a one-car accident Monday on Spring Bayou Road. Jeansonne, 41, of Marksville was alone in a 1981 Pontiac on Spring Bayou Road around 7:10 p.m. Monday when he lost control of the car, ran off the road and crashed into a tree, according to state troopers.
He died at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday in Rapides General Hospital, Alexandria. Services for Jeansonne will be at 11 a.m. today in the chapel of Escude with the Revs. David Trimbur and Bill Provosty officiating.
