BELOIT, Wis. (WKOW) -- The City of Beloit Police Department announced they arrested two people in connection to the shooting of a man earlier this month.
Police confirmed that the victim remains in the hospital in critical condition. The victim's name has not been released publicly.
Kevin L. Payne, 37, and Terey A. Vance, 42 were identified as suspects in the shooting incident, which happened on Saturday, May 11 around 3:00 in the morning. Capt. Chris Eberhardt said that the two individuals were taken into custody in Fort Wayne, Indiana with the help of Fort Wayne Police and other law enforcement.
Payne was charged with three felonies; attempted first-degree intentional homicide, felony possession of a firearm, and felony bail jumping.
Vance was arrested for attempted first-degree intentional homicide as part of a crime, with the use of a dangerous weapon.
Police said Payne and Vance are awaiting extradition to Rock County.
