Evansville Police Department Sector Meetings. REMINDER:
The South, East and West Sector meetings will start again in January. They all will meet at the CK Newsome Center located at 100 E Walnut Street at 6:00 pm. There will not be a speaker for the January meeting. You will hear about any Crime Trends that are going on in your Sector. These meetings are very informative; please plan to attend. This will be the first meeting of the year. Meeting info is below.

South Sector - Thursday, January 13th
East Sector - Tuesday, January 18th
West Sector - Thursday, January 20th

This is a notice that the Partnership Meeting is cancelled for Wednesday, September 1st at the CK Newsome Center. Due to the rising COVID numbers, we thought it would be best to cancel. Sorry for any inconvenience.

On September 1st at 6:00pm at the CK Newsome Center in the EPD Foundation meeting room (room 118 C & D), the Evansville Police Department will be having a combined South, East and West Sector meeting. This is called a Partnership Meeting. All of the Crime Prevention Officers will be in attendance that night. This is the first meeting this year. So, instead of each Sector having their own meeting, in September they will all meet together. If you have any questions feel free to call Linda at (812) 435-6135.

We have another Partnership Meeting scheduled for November 3, 2021. So please mark your calendars now. If everything goes as planned we hope to continue with the individual Sector meetings in January of 2022.

Here’s a link to an index list of the standards.

We are a Tier 2 agency so there are 459 standards total. Only 359 are applicable to us. For example, the court security and campus law enforcement standards don’t apply to us.

We are happy to announce that Coffee With A Cop is returning THIS MONTH!

For those of you who are unaware, EPD was the 4th agency to host CWAC. Currently there are agencies in all 50 states and in 10 different countries that participate in CWAC. Both of our Chiefs, Assistant Chief Philip Smith and Chief Billy Bolin, are instructors for the program. People that attend CWAC can expect open and honest dialogue with the officers in attendance. CWAC will take place every 3rd Tuesday of the month from 7-9am at either a Donut Bank or Chick-Fil-A location – October, however, is on October 7th which is National CWAC Day. Through this program we have been able to establish trust and build new relationships with community members. We look forward to seeing new faces this year at CWAC.

As a public reminder, if you park behind your house off an alley, please do not block the alley. When the alleys are blocked or obstructed emergency vehicles cannot get through the alley and trash pick-up cannot occur.
