I am not swearing to it. But, I think that Prez HSM will change his mind when he gets the time to think about the impossible changes that he wants to make to the constitution, etc. Of course, HSM's new constitution raised many good questions in the minds of many legislatures and many peoples including myself and I dare say that those behind the push for constitutional amendments their education is sadly neglected & they believe that no government ever existed before 2012 or HSM1, and it was reborn again in HSM2 in 2020. This means that there was no government in Somalia, i.e., civilian or military, and / or in between whether TNG, TFG, and / or later N&N etc. How, could someone with right mind think that there was no government prior Prez HSM1 and in between Prez HSM2 in Somalia?. Anyway, Prez HSM has a lot of things on his plate at the moment as a priority that needs his attention but is not one of them to amend the constitution and change it to suit his political ambitions etc.

In Greece almost everyone believes that is important to invest in national defence, hence all the military procurement funding that increases every year. Yet the following paradox exists. A Second Lieutenant nets 890 euros with 12 salaries and postings all over Greece. A deliveryman nets 1000 with 14 salaries and home every night (hard work but still home every night). The e-delivery companies invest zero in training and procurement, the armed forces are spending at least 7000 per cadet annually not counting operational training costs. To make a long story short, I'm not claiming that e-food is competing with the AF for employees but in my humble opinion if a young officer cannot afford to rent a one bedroom apartment in downtown Athens and is forced to live with his parents, then all defence recruiting campaigns are destined to fail.

Is it time to consider the return of national service in the UK?It would plug the gap of reduced recruitment numbers and provide free training for a generation of young people. We might consider offering a free degree to all those who complete three years adult service as an incentive to those conscripts.Could we afford it, defence budgets are already stretched and training is expensive. What are your thoughts?

Will to fight and a clear cause more important than all the rest...in lack of which you can train them forever but if there is no will and no purpose, people want to go home...maybe some are already going home as conscription is only one part of the issue. The other is retention of professionals. And much more...____________________________________Military training content more important than length of service: Taiwan People's Party TPP legislator suggests working group be established to review military traininghttps://lnkd.in/gcsNDkN7

🎙️A Congressional Act approved May 13, 1938, made November 11 in each year a legal holiday: "a day to be dedicated to the cause of world peace and to be thereafter celebrated and known as 'Armistice Day'". 🏛️Congress amended the bill on June 1, 1954, replacing "Armistice" with "Veterans.”🪖Veterans Day is a time to remember all those who served in the 🇺🇸U.S. military, past and present. Our Enlisted Fellows champion this sentiment, working alongside congress and congressional staffers enacting into law Veteran programs that offer several benefits to include, but not limited to 📚💻Education and Training, 🩺⚕️Healthcare, 📊Employment Assistance, 🏠Housing Assistance, 🏦Financial Support, 📝Disability, and, Counseling and Support.Past Fellow, CMSgt Brian Sheffield, M. had the unique opportunity to turn a widely successful pilot program into an established educational option for the veteran community😲. This 📜law allows veterans to apply their GI Bill benefits for “nano-degrees.” Over 4K veterans have participated in this program with a nearly 90% graduation rate at a starting average salary of $60K🤩. With the program’s tremendous success, he worked to secure $125M in funding in FY22, up from $45M in years past, to help meet demand🤯.For more information on how you can participate in this program: https://lnkd.in/d-TFAqh #veteransday #veteransupport #veteransaffairs #usaf #tech4good
